  68. On the Psion:
  69. Run the spreadsheet you wish to transfer to the ARM.
  70. Press <Menu> and select File, Save as, or press <Psion-A>.
  71. Insert a suitable filename, highlight File type and select WK1 
  72. (or WKS); the file extension will be added to the filename.  
  73. Press <Enter>.

  75. Plug in A-Link into the expansion socket on the Psion.
  76. Plug in the external power supply.
  77. On the Psion System screen select Remote link:

  82. Press <Enter>.

  84. On the ARM: Load !PocketFS.
  85. Click <Menu> over PocketFS icon and click on Open '$'.
  86. Open directory M and then sub-directory SPR.
  87. The original file ending in /spr with file type PBAbacus (fbc), 
  88. is immediately followed by the new WK1 file shown as a DOS 
  89. file, filetype (fe4).

  91. Drag the DOS file from sub-directory SPR to a suitable 
  92. directory on the ARM (ideally a DOS format disc or partition): 
  93. after transfer it will appear as a red 123 file icon, filetype 
  94. WK1 (db0). 
  95. Delete the .WK1 file from sub-directory SPR as it is no longer 
  96. required. (Alternatively, you could have moved the file by 
  97. holding down <Shift> whilst dragging the file icon).

  99. Click <Menu> over the PocketFS icon and click on Dismount.

  101. On the Psion: Set Remote Link to Off and press <Enter>.

  103. On the ARM: Load !PD123.
  104. Drag the red 123 file to be converted onto the PD123 icon.
  105. Save as: change leafname PDFile to suitable filename.
  106. Drag PD file icon onto suitable directory on ADFS format disc.

  108. The conversion was probably completed by the previous steps.
  109. Load the converted PD file into PipeDream, and if necessary, 
  110. edit the spreadsheet to rewrite the few expressions that PD123 
  111. did not convert correctly.
